IGBT selection criteria
This tool helps with device selection and optimization. It compares losses and operating temperatures for the IGBTs that meet the input criteria. It is not a design tool
Conduction losses assume 50% duty cycle, single switch. Switching losses assume operation in switchmode and are calculated at the frequency and voltage entered in the appropriate fields. They include the turn-on losses of due to the reverse recovery of the complementary diode. Losses due to diode conduction are not included. Power losses are typical at the operating junction temperature.
